When young Rosario Carbone came to Cleveland, Ohio in 1920, what he thought would be a short trip became a lifetime journey. Opportunities in Cleveland were everywhere - especially for someone who was a graduate of the Royal Technical Institute of Rome with a degree in engineering and construction, and who had served as a chief engineer for the Italian government after World War I. After several different partnerships, Rosario formed R.P. Carbone in 1926, and the company quickly built a reputation for quality and craftsmanship.
