In the 1980s, R.P. Carbone's major projects included the Temple on the Heights complex in Pepper Pike and renovation of the Cleveland Convention Center. During that same period, the firm also worked with Cleveland native Philip Johnson, internationally famed architect, on the $14 million Cleveland Playhouse renaissance. As part of a most memorable decade, R.P. Carbone also had primary responsibility for the four-year restoration of the historic Powerhouse in Cleveland's Flats District as well as restoring a portion of the Bolton estate in Lyndhurst into guest quarters for TRW.
