| With the exception of time out for
army duty, Ross Carbone, grandson of R.P. Carbone founder Rosario Carbone, has
been involved in the construction business all of his working life.
Ross started part time with R.P. Carbone while still in high school, and then joined the firm full time in 1971. At first, he split his efforts between the field, concentrating on surveying and layout, and the office, where he did estimating and payroll work. Over the ensuing years, business operations continued to consume more and more of his time, and in 1977, Ross turned his attention 100% to the internal operations of the company. Since 1977, Ross has held a number of positions and titles with R.P. Carbone, and is currently the company's Chief Executive Officer. In that same period of time, he has supervised close to 200 major construction projects, and has received numerous awards and industry recognition for his work. In addition to his CEO responsibilities, Ross is now Managing Member of Carbone Properties, the development arm of R.P. Carbone, as well. In this position, Ross's goal is to build the Carbone business by providing joint venture partners with a seamless development program that can include everything from land acquisition and financing to architectural design to construction and property management. Ross has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and his engineering training license from the state of Ohio. In addition, he holds 12 general contracting licenses in a number of different states.
