RPC is serving as Construction Manager
for the $28.5 million Tuslaw Local School District’s project. RPC is providing
the full range of services for the Preconstruction and Construction Phases. As
a part of its complete in-house services, RPC has been involved in the Project
from its very inception through a direct involvement in the community planning
process that developed the proposed solutions to the Tuslaw Local School’s
facilities issues. The first phase of work involved the Bond Issue Campaign,
where RPC worked with the community to organize the committees required for the
campaign. This included working directly with the community task force as well
as generating the data needed to validate the final solution. A complete cost
analysis was a major part of the support for the recommendation to the Board of
Education. In 2002, the Project was approved as an OSFC-ELPP. The master
plan calls for new construction of over 60,000 square feet for an elementary
school, new construction of over 86,000 square feet for new high school, and
extensive renovations to the existing Jr. / Sr. High School building that will
be used as a Grades 5 – 8 Middle School. The District is
funding the new high school locally as well as some of the Middle School
renovations. RPC is
assisting and coordinating in the planning and design processes, providing
document reviews and progress estimates through the various design phases, and
will provide field supervision, overall project coordination and construction
management during the construction phases
