RP Carbone Company proudly served as General Contractor on the $8,000,000 addition and renovation to historic Trinity Cathedral.  Trinity Cathedral was designed by noted Cleveland architect, Charles Schweinfurth (1856-1919), and was erected 1901-1907.  The plan called for demolishing the old Chorister Hall Facility and in its place constructing a new building that links the existing Church House, Parish House, and the Cathedral.  The first phase involved the removal and relocation of the existing sculpture garden and benches, demolition of Chorister Hall and the renovation and build out of the Church House.  The Church House, fronting on Euclid Avenue, was turned into office and meeting space.  Phase two involved the construction of the new addition/link, followed by phase three, the renovation of the Parish House into choir and kitchen space.  The new construction has incorporate time-honored materials along with the newest in building technology.  RP Carbone Company’s stone and masonry craftsmen enjoyed the challenge, one that does not come along all that often.
