Mr. Gary Graham, Superintendent Board of Education RPC served as Construction Manager for the $20.8 million District wide new construction program. This project was part of the first phase of school districts statewide in which the State of Ohio was a major partner. RPC is serving as Manager for the Northeastern District. The New London Local School District has a total enrollment of 1,207 students as of May 1998. There are three schools in the district: Fitchville Primary, New London Elementary, and New London Elementary Jr./Sr. High School including VO-AG. The New London elementary and the Jr./Sr. High Schools are combined on a single site. The New London Jr./Sr. High facility has very limited site expandability. The football field and athletic facilities are located at a nearby community park. The on-site evaluation of the schools indicated that total building replacements was required. The program called for a new combination Elementary-Junior/Senior High School, grades K-12 on a 30-acre site adjacent to the Community Park. This site was available to the school district. The park already accommodated the school’s athletic facilities. The District then abandoned the existing New London Jr./Sr. High and Elementary School. Additionally, the District would then abandon the VO-AG facility and incorporate this program into the new Jr./Sr. High School. RPC provided the full range of services for the Preconstruction and Construction Phase. Click on each photo to bring up a description. For an enlarged photo, click the picture again.
